How We
Got Started
Dog Harbor Studios didn’t start in a corporate high-rise. We started as a direct rebellion against the cookie-cutter, templated world of big creative agencies.
We are a small, tight-knit team of designers who have known each other for many years. Independently, we’ve picked up a few heavy-hitter accolades along the way; including New York Emmy Awards, Edward R. Murrow Awards, and New York Press Club Awards. While trophies are nice, building real, lasting relationships with good people is what actually drives us.
As for the name, it all goes back to Ms. Reese. She’s a rescue pitbull from the small town of Thomson, Georgia, who loves nothing more than sitting by the Northport harbor and watching the boats drift on by.
When you partner with us, there are no middlemen, account managers, or salespeople standing in the way. You talk directly with the designers crafting your brand. We don’t chase one-and-done projects—we rely almost entirely on word-of-mouth recommendations, which means our business grows only when yours does. We become your long-term creative partners, always available and easy to reach day or night whenever an idea hits or a deadline looms.

The people behind Dog Harbor Studios LLC
Gregory Stevens
An Emmy Award-winning creative director with over 15 years of experience leading design teams at News12 and Newsday. Greg brings high-end brand vision, typography, and visual polish to every project. When he’s not designing, he’s cheering on the NY Knicks or down at the harbor with his pup, Reese.
James DiGregorio
A multi-Emmy Award winner and master visual storyteller who lives and breathes After Effects. James brings custom graphics, slick motion design, and broadcast animation to life with effortless style. Off the clock, you’ll usually find him following the NY Mets or experimenting with fresh animation techniques.
Joshua Winker
Originally from Canada, Josh is our go-to lead for directing, producing, and keeping complex creative projects running seamlessly. With a rich background behind the camera on commercial and branded shoots, he makes sure every detail hits the mark. He’s also a diehard Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Gregory Stevens
A former Georgia rescue who now rules the studio with an iron paw. Reese spends her days keeping morale high, inspecting harbor views, and making sure all client projects meet her strict standards. She works exclusively for belly rubs, treats, and sunny nap spots.
